According to the charter of the great intergalactic federation, all colonists are hereby notified of the following governing rules effective as of 8/1/2318:
Each person shall have designated sleep time consisting of 1/16 of a moon revolution, every other Earth Day, except when the mean temperature for the prior day is 1 standard deviation above normal, then which it will be 1/17 of a revolution if it also falls the month of September, and if such cycle spans into the month of October then it shall revert to 1/16 of a revolution but only for those people with blonde hair.
Each colonist shall be entitled to one vote for the colony mayor, who shall serve until either they are dead, declared unfit, or challenged by a rival who by general consensus is more popular, better looking and/or more charasmatic.
Each colonist is entitled maintain at least 74% of their starting volume of water each year, sourced from communal cisterns or other such sources the Governing Committee deems appropriate
